A ton has been going on, but what has been keeping me grounded is my running. I tried to get in runs whenever I could the first two weeks off and then when I was sick I had to take it easy and do what I could. But today I was finally able to run 8 miles in the freezing cold and brutal wind. At times I couldn't feel my face and my nose was definitely frozen afterwards, but it felt so good to be back outside.
Nutrition is key during crazy times. I would bring healthy dinners and snacks when I was at school for 12+ hours and even though I was tempted to just order pizza like other people I knew that I needed to properly fuel my body. Hydration is also super important; if you don't hydrate the right way the day before and the day of a run, no matter how long it is, it will be hell. On average, I drink three full nalgenes a day and it has done wonders for me. It makes me eat less and my skin is looking better than ever.
So here I am, back at it once again. I need this blog to keep my racing mind busy so I will do my best to post as often as I can. I only have a few more weeks of school left and then I leave for internship!
