I think it's time we embrace these failed ventures into the world of *chill*. I don't think I'll ever not be wound too tight to meditate: my idea of zen is a long run or scrolling through pinterest right before I go to bed. I don't do yoga: I'm literally the most inflexible person ever and usually just embarrass myself by falling over in warrior pose. And I swear I'm doing my best, but let's be real- I'm a Masshole through and through and it probably won't be changing anytime soon.
So you know what? Don't try to change who you are. Save the resolutions for being healthy and trying new things, but if you don't love it, don't waste your time. Do what you love, and by all means try new things but if you can't sit in silence for 30 minutes focused on your breathing, don't worry about it. Here's to the resolutions we knew we'd never keep: you remind us that it's okay to fail.
