These are great for any kind of salad, and they are good because they have good carbs in them. You need carbs for long endurance exercise, they provide your cells the right amount of glucose for energy!
So here's the world's easiest crouton recipe:
about a quarter of a french loaf, or whatever you have left over
salt and pepper
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cube the bread into reasonable size pieces and toss them into a gallon size ziploc bag. Drizzle olive oil over the bread until it's all coated. Sprinkle the seasoning on as much or as little as you would like it to be. I used about a tablespoon of garlic powder, parsley, and two teaspoons of salt and pepper.
Put them on a pan lined with parchment paper and put them in the oven for about 15 minutes or until they are golden and crispy!
