Fall is the best, we can all agree on that. (And if you don't, you're wrong). One of the best parts of fall are sweaters, boots, and being cozy in the cool weather.
The even better part of fall, is that as the years go by and fashion trends come and go, the best and most stable season is fall.
Every year, maroon and deep greens are in style, so keep an eye out for those colors!
This color is perfect for fall because it goes with any forest color you can think of! I love my camel cable knit sweater but this is the kind of sweater that you can get in any material and it will look great.
We all have a cardigan in our closet right now, whether it's long or short or bulky or not, it is perfect for layering for fall. Add a bulky scarf on blustery days or a light tshirt on warmer days it is a great choice to wear and always look stylish.
I feel like I don't even need to say this one? Booties are the best, duh. They are THE fall shoe. It's finally cool enough to wear closed toe shoes and warm enough that you don't have to worry about your feet freezing. Get your flat pair out to wear everyday and your heeled pair to dress up an outfit.
Perfect with a pair of black jeans and a bulky sweater, jean jackets are the ultimate fall jacket.
Red flannels. Green flannels. Blue flannels. Black and white flannels. Wear all the flannels. It literally could not get simpler. A nice pair of jeans, booties, and a flannel is like THE fall uniform every year.
I wear vests on the daily. They're great for not being too warm or too cold, but keeping you at a very regulated temperature. They're definitely a personal preference as Lauren is telling me right now that she doesn't like vests because her arms get cold. If your arms get cold too, be like Lauren, and suffer through it and complain the whole time.
A wonderful boot to wear in the fall, on those dreary rainy days where there is mud aplenty, duck boots are the best for keeping your feet warm and dry. Another alternative would be Hunter style boots, but my Bean boots are my favorite cold weather footwear. (I have two pairs).
Can summer just go away already?? It is September 26th and I am MELTING in this heat. Anyone else just want to be wearing their cute sweaters, booties, and jeans? I have also decided to boycott shorts because shorts should not be worn this late into September. It is FALL and I want to fulfill my basic-ness and drink warm lattes, get cozy in sweaters, and wear closed toed shoes.
Alas, it is still 90 degrees out today. And it looks like the temp is going to be hanging out in the mid-80's for the next few weeks. So, if you're in a literal heat wave like me, I'm going to help you figure out how to dress for fall in this disgusting weather.
Wearing your hair down might be a stretch, but this super cute maroon skirt from Target is perfect for this hot weather. Corduroy skirts are totally in right now and it's a great fall material. Pairing it with a simple white tee makes it cool and light without sweating your butt off. I'm wearing my favorite Franco Sarto booties to bring in a little bit more fall but they aren't overwhelming.
My best advice for transitioning from summer to fall when it is hot as hell is to focus on colors and materials. I know you don't want to be wearing thick wool even though it looks suuuper cute, but maybe go for some leather details or suede shoes. Like I utilized corduroy, you can use different kinds of material to make a look more fall.
And purple/maroon (two very different colors I know), seem to be the color of fall every year. So grab your deep forest colors, think browns and deep greens and navys, and try to work them into your warm fall outfits!
Disclaimer: I had to learn how to spell corduroy to be able to write this post. Definitely will forget promptly.
My favorite trend is here. The bomber jacket. It's cool, it can be edgy, it can be sweet, it can be whatever you want it to be but it will always be a bomb look. I am honestly surprised I don't have like, 20, but hey my bank account can only go so low. These jackets look good on so many different body types and they're so versatile to any style. They're like the chameleon of outerwear. Oh also you can get light bombers for the fall ( like mine) or you can get heavy ones for winter!! BOMBER JACKETS FOR EVERYONE!!
If I were Oprah I would have all my readers look under their chairs rn and pull out a jacket. Alas, I am not Oprah and you have to settle for looking at these pictures (and following the links to buy your own).
I had my best friend Lauren take my pictures for me and let me tell you- having your best friend take your pictures is amazing because she knew all my good angles and was just complimenting me the whole time. It was so great.
I put my deep green jacket with dark wash jeans and a white tshirt so the jacket was the main focus of the outfit. It's definitely a statement piece with the large flowers and velvet material. I added my favorite Free People bra underneath to add a layer of dainty lace; the green bomber can look masculine but the flower appliques and lace peeking out makes it much more feminine.

Ask any girl from the age of 18-29 what her favorite season is and chances are, it's fall. Fall is the best because it's not too hot anymore but it's not cold enough that you can't stand spending more than 15 minutes outside. Also the shoes are my favorite. I got these for back to school and now that it's September I can't wait to start wearing them!

Vince Camuto makes my favorite shoes ever. Literally every pair is so comfy and lasts forever and looks adorable. I will swear on Vince Camuto till the day I die because I just love their shoes so much. These are no exception! I looooove these black booties with the low cut out that makes them just a little different.
