I know- it's July 18th. Believe me I KNOW how hot it is out. But with the Nordstrom sale and going back to school in a few weeks, I'm itching to get my fall outfits going! I miss big sweaters, booties, and cute jackets, and I'm so sick of shorts. So when I picked this outfit up at the NSale, I just had to wear it out! Portsmouth, NH is right on the water so when the sun is starting to go down, it cools down enough to wear jeans, and this button down is so light and airy that I was super comfortable. This outfit will be perfect for being back at school when you're running between classes into cold classrooms.
Also- I apologize for my white converse being so dirty... it's time for a new pair and Ryan and I went ATV'ing. He thought it was hilarious to drive through huge puddles and splash me but I thought it was hilarious because he was in front of me and blocked most of the mud and water!
Happy Tuesday everyone! Now get out there and start picking out your favorite fall outfits ;)
Comfort is so important to me. I am willing to compromise a bit when I have a special event and special heels that I know I won't be wearing for more than 6 hours, but every other time, I, just like every other sane person, enjoys a nice squishy soft sneaker. Tretorn's have my heart.
When you fist look at these, you might think they are stiff and make you super tall because of the platform but do not be fooled!! I swear the entire platform is comfort, and they really don't add a ton of height (tall girls rejoice!).
Espadrilles are trending right now, and I'm all about them. I love the look of the sandals but going into the fall soon, I didn't want to limit myself by having open toed shoes. Plus the look of the espadrille sneaker is unique and the pink adds a nice feminine flair to the rougher soles. The body of the sneaker is suede, one of my favorites, and is perforated so your feet aren't dying hot all day (which is SO nice).
I also wear these to work a ton- they look great with jeans, army green pants, and pastel chinos. They are a great way to wear a more stylish sneaker at work without looking lazy! I'll definitely be wearing these to class all the time in the fall, when I usually wear jeans to class with a cute top. (Are you even a girl if you don't say "jeans and a cute top" when someone asks what you're wearing out?)
I'll say it again and I'll keep saying it, I want to wear these everyday. They're cute, casual, and the fun pink just makes me happy.
Also, I am really interested to know what people from different places call these shoes; I call them sneakers because East Coast but going to school in the Midwest, I know other people call them tennis shoes? Or trainers? Let me know in the comments!
Okay it is safe to say that I am crazy about these pants. Talk about super fun, cool, and casual!! They're from Old Navy and I seriously could not be happier about them. I'm wearing a size small (and honestly could have gotten an extra small), and they're just the right size to be flowy, cool, and super comfy.
If we are being honest- it's like wearing pajamas out in public and it being totally acceptable, so basically, my dream. They're pretty versatile too, I would say that you could dress these up super easy if you have platform wedges or espadrille sandals to make them not drag on the ground too much if you're vertically challenged like I am, and a nice silk or satin shirt would compliment the linen well to make it nicer!
I paired these with my favorite white v-neck from J. Crew, it's super light and fits pretty much anyone perfectly. My flip flips are just simple leather, Olukai brand, which by the way are SO comfortable and great for your feet. Any white sneaker or brown leather sandal would look super cute with these!
Have an amazing Tuesday everyone! And stay comfy :)

Warm summer days that transition into cool summer nights spent around a campfire laughing with our closest friends and family are my absolute favorite out of any season. Those nights where you decide to brave the bugs and eat outside with your table busting with citronella candles. But most important are the people we spend that time with. This outfit is perfect for a night like that, cracking open bright red lobster shells or roasting marshmallows.
The loose flowy top is perfect for that in-between weather that's not too hot and not too cold and is light and breezy. I am obsessed with this color, the dark brick red looks perfect on so many people, especially those who look good in dark natural colors, aka pretty much everyone. The off the shoulder style is totally in right now, and the little straps add a more unique look, also when you are taking a close up head shot picture you don't look naked (which happens way more than you would think). It is also SO SOFT. Guys, I can not get over how comfy and soft this is. I want to wear it all day everyday and even to bed, THAT is how soft it is.
I'm also in love with this sweet little beaded choker. I got it from Forever 21 after sifting for what seemed like hours in their infinite supply of necklaces and I emerged like I had just found the Holy Grail- oh, and the pair was $6. So in love.
How cute are these little bracelets? I swapped out my usual silver bangles for these dainty colorful ones. Also from Forever 21, they were super inexpensive and look super adorable. They're perfect for dressing up any outfit and adding a pop of color when you need it! (For my other favorite pop of color check out my last post)
Bonus: this adorable shirt is on sale right now at Nordstrom! Click the pic below to get directed to the site.

Sometimes, we need a little color in our lives. Things get tough, we feel down, and everything seems dark. But when you find something as perfect and bright as these little earrings that make you feel happy. They're hot pink and make every outfit instantly sunnier and more fun.
The hot pink adds a fun pop of color to any outfit, whether you are dressing up a simple white tee or making a black dress more casual, they are super versatile.
Recently I have been in a funk with The Front Paige. I feel the need for change, and I'm not sure where that is going to come from. Fashion has always been one of my strongest passions, and a new outfit always has the ability to hit refresh on my life- it's like a new look on life. A new outfit has the power to make you feel so much better about yourself and so confident because you know you look FLY AS HELL.
This skirt has such a fun look too- the frayed uneven hem is fresh and unexpected. Everyone is wearing denim skirts right now, and I love them, but it doesn't hurt to stand out a bit too ;) .
So maybe if you're feeling in a funk, a new outfit is the way to go. It gives you a boost of self confidence, a fresh look, and a new attitude to attack the day with.
How do you guys deal with a long funk? Let me know in the comments below!

It's my favorite season of the year- beach season!! I like to think of myself as a professional beach-goer growing up on the coast so believe me when I say- I know exactly what you need. Here are my special beach picks for the greatest time of year!
Hooray you made it!! Full on summer intern ready to take on the world! You applied, interviewed, got the job, but wait- what do you mean you can't wear your favorite birks and comfort color tshirts to the office every day??? Oh yeah that's right- you're an ADULT now. (Well for the summer at least). This means you need big girl clothes and have a big girl mindset when you go shopping. Yes that shirt looks super cute but it's probably a little too low cut for work.
I know this can all seem kind of overwhelming but I've broken it down for you into the most simple pieces you need in your closet.
Professional pants are a must for the office. Try to get a few pairs of khakis, black slacks, and some pastel chinos to keep things light and fun for the summer. Make sure they aren't too long so they're dragging over your feet, and if they are shorter, it has to be a purposeful look, not an outgrown teenage boy look. Also, wait to get a good hold on your office culture to see if/when jeans are okay to wear. Some places are super chill and people wear jeans every day, some only have casual Friday's, and others it's never okay to wear jeans. Use your best judgement!
This one is probably pretty easy to understand- nothing too tight, nothing too low cut, nothing that shows a ton of skin. Leave that look for outside the office, to be taken seriously you should dress the part! I like classic button downs, light blouses, and shirts with wide straps if it's warm out. Always remember to bring a light cardigan if the office gets chilly, and get a blazer! Blazers are perfect to dress up any outfit and immediately make you look super professional.
Shoes are super important for the office too. Don't wear anything super uncomfortable and hard to walk in, but they're still your way of expressing yourself in a fun way! If you're wearing a super neutral outfit, a cool pop of color would look great. I love comfortable loafers, ballet flats, and chunky low heels. Shoes are totally up to you, wear what you feel comfortable in!
In summary: wear what makes you feel good always. Every office is different and every internship is different, be receptive to the other people in the office. Take pride in your image and be confident in yourself! You got the killer internship for a reason, flaunt it!
If you're looking for a good cause, I got one for you. A group of students here at Purdue in Krannert approached me about helping them out by spreading the word about this non-profit. I completely support this organization and I am so excited to share it with you!
I was gracious to receive a sample of the products that these wonderful artisans create and they were all beautiful.
I received a beautiful necklace that was crafted by a single mother raising two children in the Philippines, a scarf created by artisans in India that specialize in block printing, and a clutch that was made by Sok Chan, a Cambodian woman restricted to a wheelchair. The opportunity to create for Elevita gives them a way to be self dependent and support their families. These products are so beautifully made and have such a special meaning.
Check out the Elevita website here, and support the wonderful organization!
It's back! I have my round up for the week and I am ready to share it with you. My seven obsessions are sure to be a hit!
